Walk With a Scholar (W.W.S.)

St. Aloysius College, Edathua has started the Walk with Scholar programme in the academic year 2014 – 15. It is an initiative of the Department of Higher Education, Government of Kerala, which proposes arranging specialized mentoring programs for advanced learners to develop life skills for their future. The scheme envisages developing essential life skills like decision making, problem-solving, creative thinking, effective communication, interpersonal relationships, and self-awareness and thereby preparing them to excel in life.

The mentoring scheme for students is purely voluntary. It is open to all students entering the First Year of the undergraduate program of study. The scheme aims to give necessary orientation to needy students, prepare them for employment, and give them the necessary guidance, motivation, and mental support to identify appropriate areas for higher study and employment. The mentoring scheme identifies the opportunities available for the scholars, the areas suitable for them, how they should proceed, and how they can be acquired. Thirty voluntary students with meritorious academic backgrounds are admitted every year to this programme.

Coordinator – Mr. Jaimin George, Department of Chemistry
