National Cadet Corps has shaped the lives of millions of people of the country. It remains committed to producing vibrant disciplined citizens who are capable of taking our nation to great heights. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a part of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conductive to motivating young Indians to join armed forces. The NCC provides exposure to the cadets in a wide range of activities, with a distinct emphasis on Social Services, Discipline and Adventure Training.
Participation in various camps (ATC, CATC, TSC, NIC, AAC, RDC), 75% attendance in Institutional Training (3 yrs) and Certificate Examination (B&C) will fetch the cadets 15% grace marks in University examinations. Enrolment strength for Army NCC is 160 and Navy 50.
Bonus of 15 marks for the Degree course and 5 for the PG course shall be awarded to NCC candidates for admission to all courses. An additional bonus marks of 3 will be given to ‘A’ certificate holders, 5 marks to ‘B’ certificate holders, 5 marks to ‘C’ certificate holders in proof of their high proficiency.
