Career Opportunities

Upon successful completion of B Sc Physics degree course, the students can develop the ability to read, understand and interpret physical information in verbal, mathematical and graphical   and can also understand the methodology related to Physics. The students can attain good knowledge in mechanics, properties of matter, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, electricity, electrodynamics and electronics, quantum physics, solid state physics, computational physics and other relevant subjects. Also, students can develop their experimental and data analysis skills through a wide range of experiments through practicals at laboratories. One can avail many options depending on the area of interest and specialization and there is ample scope for higher education as well as various career options

Those who wish to continue with the same field can opt for a master’s degree in various specialized areas like Masters in Physics, Astrophysics, Geophysics, Biophysics, Nanophysics, Nuclear physics, Electronics, Renewable Energy, Optics, and so on. There are several All India Level Entrance Exams, like JAM, GATE etc., through which one can advance their career studying in top institutes. There are several career options in public as well as private sectors like Tutor, Office administrator, Research Assistant, Bank Employee, Lab Technician/Supervisor, Content Writer, Consulting Physicist, Scientific Assistant, Accelerator Operator, Technical Assistant, Lab Assistant, Radiologist Assistant etc. Another option is they can apply for short duration projects/internships in research institutes.
